Keep a private Print Lab workbench
Switch between generators without losing their settings, undo an edit, and save a deliberate project file before closing the page.
Work across several generators
Each visited generator keeps its own paper, units, settings and output options in memory. The twelve starters offer a quick first layout; applying one is undoable. Undo and redo retain at most 60 editing states, with consecutive changes in one field grouped together.
Reset generator resets only the selected generator and can be undone. Clear Lab workbench removes all remembered generators, private text, previews and undo history in this Lab after confirmation. It does not delete downloads or pages already sent to Print Tray.
Save deliberately
Save current settings downloads one generator. Save workbench downloads all visited generators. No private draft is written automatically to browser storage or uploaded to an editing server. Files containing entered headings or dated notes require an additional confirmation.
A workbench JSON file contains settings and private text, not rendered pages. It has a 256 KiB input limit. Reopening validates every generator against the enabled scope and regenerates output. A malformed or unsupported file leaves the previous workbench unchanged; regenerate its preview to continue.
Understand version and privacy boundaries
Supported older single-generator settings can be imported into the current Lab with a migration notice. Old rendered artifacts and unknown workbench versions are not silently accepted as current. Reinspect all generated pages after migration.
An optional offline shell caches only allowlisted application files. It is off by default and is separate from saving a private project. Browser or device shutdown still discards unsaved Lab work. Store downloaded private files carefully.
