- Place tracing paper over the pattern or work on the printed sheet. Copy the dark marks as drawing lines.
- For a layered composition, decide the cut boundary on a separate sketch first; tracing marks do not promise retained connections.
- Keep a master sheet and test the intended material before using the design on a finished project.
