Choose Letter, A4, A5 or half-Letter
Choose the paper edition for the task and the sheet in your printer. An edition is a prepared layout, not permission to shrink every template to any size.
Know which sheet you have
Letter is 215.9 × 279.4 mm; A4 is 210 × 297 mm. A5 is 148 × 210 mm, while half-Letter is 139.7 × 215.9 mm. Compare these with the loaded paper and the size listed for the selected download. The paper dimensions are separate from a tag’s cut size or a box’s nominal panel size.
Keep physical objects at their intended dimensions
Tags, labels, envelopes and model pieces can depend on precise relationships. Use the provided edition rather than printing an A4 file on Letter with Fit selected. A layout may rearrange pieces to fit a sheet while keeping each piece the same size. It should not silently resize the object.
Use small-paper layouts for writing
A5 and half-Letter worksheets are useful only when the text, writing areas and margins work at that size. Where a dedicated small-paper edition exists, use it. A smaller print of a large worksheet can leave headings legible but writing areas too cramped.
Choose stock for your equipment and task
Read your printer’s supported-media guidance before using heavy, textured or coated stock. Test on ordinary paper first. A stronger sheet may help a display card stand, but may also be harder to fold. Paper stiffness and thickness affect construction; this library does not establish one universal best paper weight.
Do not assume pre-cut stock compatibility
A printable label outline is not a product-code specification for branded adhesive sheets. Compare the actual dimensions and positions before using expensive stock. For a first trial, print on plain paper and check the layout against the unused sheet.
