Test the fold independently
Align the paper edges deliberately before creasing, then compare the marks through the folded paper. Repeat with a fresh sheet to separate a one-off hand-fold error from a consistent setup problem.

From file to finished page
- Choose the paper size loaded in your printer and open the matching PDF.
- Print at actual size and measure the 50 mm reference line before using physical measurements.
- Print one side only. Fold precisely along the central dashed line, aligning the top and bottom edges before creasing.
- Hold the folded paper to light and compare each mirrored pair of crosshair marks. Record any displacement rather than assuming the two sides align.
- Unfold and inspect the crease against the center line. A folding error and a scaling error are different problems; repeat with a fresh sheet to distinguish them.
