Materials and construction
Paper or light card; ruler; an adult-operated craft knife and cutting mat for internal openings; pencil.
Before making a batch
Inspect every internal opening for complete closure.
Check all paper bridges remain connected.
Test clean tracing and repeat alignment.

Three band outlines: 180 x 32 mm.
Openings stay at least 6 mm from the long outer edges.
The surrounding paper is retained as the reusable stencil.
From file to finished page
- Print and inspect all openings before cutting. Choose one of the three bands for a first trial.
- Cut the internal openings first on a protected surface, keeping the surrounding paper connected.
- Cut the outside band outline last. Do not cut the spaces between adjacent openings.
- Hold the band over scrap paper and trace gently through the openings.
- Check for lifted or torn bridges before repeating the border. Use a pencil mark to align repeated sections.
