Use paper and colored pencils or crayons suited to it, plus a ruler for the 50 mm print check.

Choose a page and begin

In the revised edition, choose a scene from pages 1 to 4 rather than printing the whole packet automatically; page 5 contains the coloring instructions.

Print the matching Letter or A4 edition at actual size / 100%, with fit-to-page disabled, and check the 50 mm reference bar.

Color directly on the print or trace onto another sheet. Keep the outer border as a drawing frame; no cutting or folding is needed.

Try coloring materials on a spare sheet or in the margin, and use a finer point where outlines are close together. Keep the outlines and small spaces visible as you add color.

  1. Print the US Letter (8.5 x 11 inches) edition at 100% / actual size on matching paper.
  2. Choose a scene and use paper with colored pencils or crayons suited to it. Test your materials on a spare sheet or margin.
  3. Keep the outer border as a drawing frame. Color the visible outlines; no cutting or folding is needed. Use a finer point where outlines sit close together.
