Test the empty case before adding a booklet
The front and back panels meet at the spine, while the upper and lower closure panels bridge the depth. The free fore-edge remains open for insertion.
Paper thickness, protruding staples and a decorated booklet cover can consume clearance. Use a scrap booklet first; this pattern is not a fitted commercial book-size specification.

A three-sided slipcase around a 68 x 98 mm panel size with a 14 mm spine and an open fore-edge.
From file to finished page
- Choose the paper size loaded in your printer and open the matching PDF.
- Print the matching paper edition at actual size (100%). Measure the printed 50 mm line before cutting. The screen preview is not a measurement test.
- Cut the main five-panel net and the top and bottom tabs. Keep the open long edge clear: it is where the booklet slides in.
- Crease the two broad cover panels, the 14 mm spine and the top/bottom closure panels.
- Wrap the front, spine and back around a scrap booklet to establish the U-shaped profile; the outer fore-edge must remain open.
- Fold the top and bottom flaps inward and join only their marked tabs. Do not close the fore-edge.
- Test a dummy booklet no larger than about 64 x 94 x 11 mm before committing to card. These trial allowances are not a universal fit guarantee.
Printing and use notes
The dimensions describe the flat pattern and fold lines, not guaranteed internal capacity.
Physical printing, fit and assembly have not been tested. Make a scrap-paper trial before using special stock.
This is a decorative or organizational paper project, not protective shipping packaging, food-contact material or a load-rated container.
