Fold-flat display easel / LETTER

Materials and construction

Ordinary paper for a first trial; scissors; ruler; a blunt scoring tool; a small amount of paper adhesive.

Before making a batch

Check equal 75 mm sloping faces.

Test the ledge join without loading it heavily.

Record the size and weight of the actual display card.

Main strip: 60 x 185 mm.

Two sloping faces: 75 mm each; base: 25 mm; joining tab: 10 mm.

Ledge strip: 50 x 25 mm; folds at 10 and 20 mm.

From file to finished page

Cut the main net and ledge. Score the three main folds and two ledge folds.
Dry-fold the main net into a narrow triangular support, with the 25 mm base on the table.
Join the 10 mm main tab behind the front face. Let the support dry square.
Fold the ledge into a shallow channel and attach its 10 mm rear section low on the front face.
Test a light scrap-paper card in the ledge. Reposition the ledge if the card tips the support.
