Match each tread and riser in order
The continuous strip alternates short risers and longer treads. Crease the whole sequence before fixing it to the two side profiles.
Keep the sides parallel as the adhesive sets. The pattern is a small display model, not a building plan, a usable step or an accessibility specification.

From file to finished page
- Choose the paper size loaded in your printer and open the matching PDF.
- Print the matching paper edition at actual size (100%). Measure the printed 50 mm line before cutting. The screen preview is not a measurement test.
- Cut both staircase side profiles, the continuous tread/riser strip and the rectangular base. Keep all side-profile tabs.
- Fold the tread/riser strip at alternating 18 mm and 10 mm intervals, following the numbered profile diagram.
- Fold the side-profile attachment tabs inward. Starting at the bottom step, attach each tread and riser edge to the corresponding tabs on one side.
- Add the second side, then fix the whole stair model to the base, keeping the two side profiles parallel.
- The result rises 40 mm over a 72 mm run. It is a lightweight display model only; do not use it as a real support or accessibility specification.
Printing and use notes
The dimensions describe the flat pattern and fold lines, not guaranteed internal capacity.
Physical printing, fit and assembly have not been tested. Make a scrap-paper trial before using special stock.
This is a decorative or organizational paper project, not protective shipping packaging, food-contact material or a load-rated container.
