Materials and construction
Plain paper for a first trial, a ruler, scissors and a blunt scoring tool; adult help for internal cuts.
Before making a batch
Measure the 50 mm reference and at least two named panel dimensions.
Assemble an empty plain-paper trial; record closure, seam, clearance and material behavior.

Base panel: 50 x 50 mm; walls 22 mm with 22 mm return panels.
Locking tongues: 6 x 5 mm; matching slots: 6.4 mm long.
From file to finished page
- Cut the full net, tongues and base slots. Score wall hinges, return hinges and corner diagonals.
- Raise opposite walls and fold their diagonal corner squares inward.
- Roll each outer wall over its corner tabs along the return hinge.
- Tuck the 6 mm tongues into the corresponding base slots without adhesive. Do not split the base to force a fit.
- Check all four locks and the flat base on a plain trial before selecting stronger card. Closure remains unverified until physically exercised.
Printing and use notes
Nominal drawing dimensions are not a tested usable-capacity, load, mailing, food-contact or archival specification.
Do not place valuable, wet, hot or breakable items in an unreviewed paper prototype.
