Materials and construction
Ordinary paper for a first trial; scissors; ruler; a blunt scoring tool; a small amount of paper adhesive.
Before making a batch
Count six body loops with intact overlaps.
Check the head does not pull the first loop out of shape.
Check small attachments before supervised display.

Six body strips: 110 x 18 mm; each includes a 10 mm joining zone.
Head: 45 x 38 mm.
Two antenna strips: 30 x 5 mm.
From file to finished page
- Cut six body strips, the head and the two short antenna strips.
- Join the first body strip into a loop using its 10 mm marked overlap.
- Thread the next strip through the first loop before joining it. Repeat until all six loops form a chain.
- Fold the lower ends of the antenna strips behind the head and attach them with small paper tabs.
- Attach the head to the first loop. Display the finished chain on a table rather than wearing or hanging it.
