Ordinary paper for a first trial; scissors; ruler; a blunt scoring tool; a small amount of paper adhesive.
Check the pleats alternate and the two joining zones overlap fully.
Record whether the ring can flatten without tearing.
Check both centre discs hold all pleats securely.
Two strips: 180 x 25 mm, each with a 10 mm joining zone.
Pleat pitch: 5 mm outside the joining zones.
Centre discs: 32 mm diameter; tails: 22 x 75 mm.
Final diameter depends on folding and stock; no exact finished diameter is promised.
