A 140 mm square insert with two 40 mm cuts that form a parallel-fold pop-up step.
From file to finished page
- Choose the paper size loaded in your printer and open the matching PDF.
- Print at actual size (100%) on the matching paper. Measure the 50 mm reference line on a physical trial; a screen ruler is not a print check.
- Cut the 140 mm square. Crease its horizontal center line before making interior cuts.
- Fold at the center. Cut the two slit lines only between their indicated endpoints, crossing the fold while keeping the surrounding sheet connected.
- Unfold slightly. Reverse the center fold of the 40 mm-wide band inward, using the two extra creases to form a step.
- Close the insert gently to confirm the step collapses flat, then open it to approximately a right angle.
- Mount the outer halves in a separate card only after testing. Keep glue away from the moving step and all three step creases.
Printing and use notes
