One 180 x 120 mm sheet divided into eight 45 x 60 mm panels for a small slit-fold book.
From file to finished page
- Choose the paper size loaded in your printer and open the matching PDF.
- Print at actual size (100%) on the matching paper. Measure the 50 mm reference line on a physical trial; a screen ruler is not a print check.
- Cut out the 180 x 120 mm rectangle. Crease the three vertical divisions and the horizontal center line, then unfold.
- Fold the sheet across its center so the two halves meet. Make only the central 90 mm cut shown by the bold solid line; do not cut either outer end of that center line.
- Unfold, then fold lengthwise through the slit so the long edges meet. Push the two short ends toward each other; the slit opens into a diamond.
- Continue pushing until four page groups meet in a cross. Fold the groups around one another into a small eight-page book.
- Choose the front cover and number pages after assembly. If the slit tears beyond its endpoints, start again with a fresh sheet.
Printing and use notes
Make a scrap-paper trial before using special material or producing a batch.
