Digital illustration with sample writing. The 40 × 170 mm bookmark is shown partly inserted into the nominal 50 × 180 mm sleeve. Paper and folds reduce space; make an empty trial and never force it. This view is not a cutting template.

Fold an open-top paper sleeve for a removable dedication bookmark. Choose the Letter or A4 PDF for your printer, then follow the cut-and-fold guide. Write by hand; make a plain-paper trial to check the fit.

The matching fox bookmark is a separate printable. The sleeve stays open at the top so the reader can remove it.

Why this sleeve stays open. The top is left unjoined so the dedication bookmark can be taken out and read. Its 50 × 180 mm panels are longer than the 40 × 170 mm bookmark; the side and bottom tabs join on the outside to keep adhesive away from the opening. Paper and folds still reduce the space inside, so check an empty trial before inserting your bookmark.

Long Woodland sleeve v1 / LETTER

Give a bookmark in an open-top sleeve

Start with one 40 × 170 mm Woodland dedication bookmark and this long sleeve’s nominal 50 × 180 mm panels. For example, write “For Maya / From Jon” on the flat sleeve before cutting, then pair it with your chosen bookmark illustration.

Choose one paper size

The US Letter and A4 print PDFs each contain a cutting net on page 1 and assembly guidance on page 2. Use the paper in your printer, print at actual size and check the 50 mm reference. Follow the folding guide below for the exterior tab joins; the top and inside pocket stay free of adhesive.

Check the fit, then give

Make an empty paper trial before inserting the bookmark. Folds and thickness reduce inside space; stop if it catches. For a simple flat gift with no sleeve assembly, give the dedication bookmark alone. This sleeve is print-only, without Studio or Print Tray support.

Woodland reading bookmark sleeve

Fold a sleeve for your bookmark

Start with the bookmark you want to give. The long sleeve’s 50 × 180 mm panels are intended for a 40 × 170 mm dedication bookmark; folds and paper thickness reduce the space inside. The older 45 × 145 mm sleeve is too short. Make an empty trial before inserting your bookmark; fit is not physically tested or guaranteed.

Gather and print

You need a printer, printer-supported paper, ruler, scissors, pen and paper adhesive. Start with ordinary paper; heavier stock reduces pocket space. Choose US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches) or A4 (210 × 297 mm) in the download panel. Each PDF has two pages: page 1 is the cutting net and page 2 shows the assembly order. Print single-sided at 100% / Actual size with Fit to page off and measure the 50 mm reference on page 1. Write For and From while the sheet is flat.

Cut, dry-fold and join

  1. Cut the solid outer contour, keeping the side and bottom tabs. Never cut dashed folds.
  2. Dry-fold the three dashed lines. Fold FRONT over BACK with the printed broad faces outside.
  3. Wrap the shaded side TAB behind FRONT. Glue its unprinted face to the printed FRONT exterior at the 10 mm side contact zone. Keep adhesive outside the pocket.
  4. Wrap the bottom TAB around the lower edge onto the BACK exterior. Glue its unprinted face to the printed BACK bottom contact zone. Never glue the two broad inner faces together.
  5. Keep the top open. Let the joins dry, then gently trial your intended 40 × 170 mm bookmark. It must stay removable.
  6. If a join catches the bookmark or glue reaches the opening, stop and remake the sleeve. Never force it.

These are separate print-only PDFs; this sleeve does not open in Studio or a combined Print Tray packet. For a tag and dedication to go with the book, follow the matched Woodland book-gift guide. You can also give the bookmark alone.
