Follow the packet’s fold sequence; panel dimensions alone do not tell you which face should be visible.
Test the display before adding artwork
Fold a plain trial and mark the intended front, inside and supporting faces. This avoids placing a message where it is hidden when the card is closed or displayed.

A 180 x 120 mm z-fold base with panel widths 45, 45, 90 mm.
From file to finished page
- Choose the paper size loaded in your printer and open the matching PDF.
- Print at actual size (100%) on the matching paper. Measure the 50 mm reference line on a physical trial; a screen ruler is not a print check.
- Cut around the outer rectangle. Score only the dashed fold lines before decorating the blank panels.
- Fold the first 45 mm panel back at the first crease. Fold the second crease in the opposite direction to form a Z in side view.
- Keep any separate decoration inside the front-panel width until you have tested how the card closes.
- Check the finished folds on scrap first. These dimensions do not establish compatibility with a commercial card or envelope size.
Printing and use notes
