Materials and construction
Plain paper for a first trial, a ruler, scissors and a blunt scoring tool; adult help for internal cuts.
Before making a batch
Measure the 50 mm reference and at least two named panel dimensions.
Assemble an empty plain-paper trial; record closure, seam, clearance and material behavior.

Four 55 x 55 mm corner blanks with 27.5 mm fold grid. For presentation or spacing trials only.

From file to finished page
- Cut the four square blanks and each short diagonal slit. Score the horizontal and vertical center folds.
- Fold both center lines, then overlap the two sections beside the diagonal slit to form a shallow corner sleeve. Glue only the shaded triangle to its overlapping paper face.
- Dry-fit around an expendable paper corner, keeping the sample free of adhesive. Check for marking and remove the sleeve before using a valuable original.
