Materials and construction
Plain paper for a first trial, a ruler, scissors and a blunt scoring tool; adult help for internal cuts.
Before making a batch
Measure the 50 mm reference and at least two named panel dimensions.
Assemble an empty plain-paper trial; record closure, seam, clearance and material behavior.

Four 55 x 55 mm corner blanks with 27.5 mm fold grid. For presentation or spacing trials only.
Folded corner spacer study. A fit and spacing exercise, not protective padding or a rated shock absorber.
From file to finished page
- Cut the four square blanks and short diagonal slits. Score both center folds.
- Fold and overlap the sections beside each diagonal slit, gluing the shaded triangle behind its overlapping face to form a corner spacer.
- Try the four spacers around a lightweight expendable sample. Record the spacing and any crushing; these are display spacers, not impact-protection pads.
