Materials and construction
Plain paper for a first trial, a ruler, scissors and a blunt scoring tool; adult help for internal cuts.
Before making a batch
Measure the 50 mm reference and at least two named panel dimensions.
Assemble an empty plain-paper trial; record closure, seam, clearance and material behavior.

Two divider strips: 150 x 44 mm. Half-depth center slots form a nominal 150 x 150 mm cross.

From file to finished page
- Cut both 150 x 44 mm strips and their half-depth center slits.
- Hold one strip with its slit upward and the other with its slit downward. Slide the slits together until the strip top and bottom edges align.
- Stand the crossed strips in an empty trial box. The cross spans 150 x 150 mm and creates four open corner areas; check the fit without bowing the strips.
