Materials and construction

Plain paper for a first trial, a ruler, scissors and a blunt scoring tool; adult help for internal cuts.

Before making a batch

Measure the 50 mm reference and at least two named panel dimensions.

Assemble an empty plain-paper trial; record closure, seam, clearance and material behavior.

4 wall panels, each 34 mm wide; height between main end folds 52 mm; seam flap 8 mm.

From file to finished page

Cut the perimeter and score all marked panel and flap hinges.
Fold the four walls into a square tube. Glue the 8 mm shaded side flap behind the first wall and keep the tube square while it dries.
Cut the two receiving slits in the bottom flaps. Fold the two slotted flaps inward first, then fold the other two flaps over them and insert each 10.2 mm tip into the opposite 12.24 mm slit.
Fold the three short top flaps inward first. Fold the long flap across the opening and tuck its plain end inside the opposite wall. Open and close the empty carton without forcing the flap.
