Materials and construction
Plain paper for a first trial, a ruler, scissors and a blunt scoring tool; adult help for internal cuts.
Before making a batch
Measure the 50 mm reference and at least two named panel dimensions.
Assemble an empty plain-paper trial; record closure, seam, clearance and material behavior.

Cone sector radius: 77 mm; angle 160 degrees; joining tab 7 mm.
Ideal paper-surface cone: base diameter 68.44 mm and height 68.98 mm before material/adhesive effects.
From file to finished page
- Cut the sector with its narrow seam tab attached. Gently curl the paper without creasing the curved surface flat.
- Bring the plain radial edge over the shaded seam tab, aligning the point and curved rim endpoints. Glue this overlap and let it dry around a plain-paper trial former.
- Cut the separate round disc with all twelve tabs attached. Score each tab hinge and turn the tabs upward.
- Place the disc at the wide cone opening and glue its tabs to the inside wall, working around the rim. Let the empty cone dry before checking the base seam.
Printing and use notes
Nominal drawing dimensions are not a tested usable-capacity, load, mailing, food-contact or archival specification.
Do not place valuable, wet, hot or breakable items in an unreviewed paper prototype.
