Materials and construction
Plain paper for a first trial, a ruler, scissors and a blunt scoring tool; adult help for internal cuts.
Before making a batch
Measure the 50 mm reference and at least two named panel dimensions.
Assemble an empty plain-paper trial; record closure, seam, clearance and material behavior.

Band strips: one 170 x 25 mm strip; end fixing zones are not load tested.

From file to finished page
- Cut the 170 x 25 mm strip and pre-fold its marked end zone.
- Attach the shaded end zone to the back of an expendable lightweight paper insert. Leave the long remainder free as a removable positioning tab.
- Pull gently while supporting the insert and check that the bond does not tear or mark it. The strip is not a carrying handle.
