Materials and construction
Plain paper for a first trial, a ruler, scissors and a blunt scoring tool; adult help for internal cuts.
Before making a batch
Measure the 50 mm reference and at least two named panel dimensions.
Assemble an empty plain-paper trial; record closure, seam, clearance and material behavior.

Four wall panels, each 34 mm wide, with 52 mm height between end folds.
Side seam: two 12 mm tongue heads and two 12.6 mm receiving slits; no glued side flap.
From file to finished page
- Cut the perimeter and score all marked panel and flap hinges.
- Cut the two side-seam receiving slits. Fold the four walls into a square tube and flex each 12 mm tongue head through its matching 12.6 mm slit; the 6 mm neck rests in the slit. Leave this seam unglued.
- Cut the two receiving slits in the bottom flaps. Fold the two slotted flaps inward first, then fold the other two flaps over them and insert each 10.2 mm tip into the opposite 12.24 mm slit.
- Fold the three short top flaps inward first. Fold the long flap across the opening and tuck its plain end inside the opposite wall. Open and close the empty carton without forcing the flap.

Do not place valuable, wet, hot or breakable items in an unreviewed paper prototype.
