Square graph paper / LETTER
Choose squares for the marks you need
Start with page 2 for a 5 mm grid: it leaves room for small diagrams and calculations. The three-page US Letter and A4 packets also have 2 mm squares on page 1 and 10 mm squares on page 3. Print only the page you need at actual size.
Give one sketch a scale
For an example shelf plan, let one 5 mm square represent 5 cm and draw a 12-square line for a 60 cm shelf. Write that chosen scale on the sketch. Measure the 50 mm reference before relying on printed spacing; the grid does not assign a real-world scale for you.
When another layout helps
Choose 10 mm squares for larger marks or 2 mm for finer work. For a different supported spacing or a single generated page, open the free graph-paper generator and its one-page examples. Keep this ready-made packet when one of its three spacings already suits the job.
