Materials and construction
Plain paper for a first trial, a ruler, scissors and a blunt scoring tool; adult help for internal cuts.
Before making a batch
Measure the 50 mm reference and at least two named panel dimensions.
Assemble an empty plain-paper trial; record closure, seam, clearance and material behavior.

Mailbox body: 50 mm width, 60 mm depth, 20 mm straight sides plus 25 mm radius roof.
Curved skin live width: 118.54 mm. A separate arched front has a 12 mm bottom hinge.
From file to finished page
- Cut the curved shell, back, floor, opening door and decorative flag, retaining all joining tabs.
- Score the two shell lines and floor tabs. Curve the central roof around a 50 mm diameter trial former without scoring the curved section.
- Join the floor wall-tabs to the shell sides. Attach the back face to the side and curved roof end-tabs, leaving the front completely open.
- Fold the front door hinge: 12 mm bottom hinge under the floor and attach only the hinge. Do not glue the door to the roof; it must swing outward.
- The flag hole is a display attachment location, not a tested moving fastener. Check that the empty shell stands flat and the door moves without tearing before recording approval.

Nominal drawing dimensions are not a tested usable-capacity, load, mailing, food-contact or archival specification.
Do not place valuable, wet, hot or breakable items in an unreviewed paper prototype.
