Seed packet / LETTER

A good fit for your idea?

Nominal panel dimensions are not guaranteed usable interior dimensions. Dry-fold a plain-paper trial before preparing a batch.

Make a start

Make an empty trial first, then add identifying information before filling the packet.

Try one first

Test fold closure using a harmless substitute and check that small contents cannot escape through corners.

Nominal panel: 60 × 90 mm. This is not a guaranteed usable interior size.

From file to finished page

  1. Print at actual size; measure the 50 mm line. Complete For, From and Message while flat; include the seed name in Message. Trial a spare sheet first.
  2. Cut only the solid outside contour. Keep both side tabs, the front panel and the closure flap. Dashed lines are folds.
  3. Place printed side down. Crease four dashed lines; turn both 10 mm side tabs inward, then bring the 80 mm front up over them.
  4. Glue only where each shaded side tab meets the front. Let the seams dry. Leave the top opening and 28 mm flap free.
  5. The back panel is 60 x 90 mm; folds reduce usable space. Over a tray, trial a few dry seeds and check both lower corners for gaps.
  6. Leave room for the top flap, then secure it. If seeds escape, add a small inner paper fold and label it with the same details.
