Materials and construction

Plain paper for a first trial, a ruler, scissors and a blunt scoring tool; adult help for internal cuts.

Before making a batch

Measure the 50 mm reference and at least two named panel dimensions.

Assemble an empty plain-paper trial; record closure, seam, clearance and material behavior.

Band strips: two 175 x 25 mm pieces with 15 mm end overlap.

From file to finished page

  1. Cut the two 175 x 25 mm strips. Use one strip for each small trial item.
  2. Wrap a strip around the item and overlap its last 15 mm behind the other end. Glue only the paper-to-paper overlap, keeping the item clear.
  3. Slide the dried band off and on without forcing it. One closed band has a nominal 160 mm inner path before paper thickness.

Nominal drawing dimensions are not a tested usable-capacity, load, mailing, food-contact or archival specification.

Do not place valuable, wet, hot or breakable items in an unreviewed paper prototype.
