Materials and construction

Ordinary paper for a first trial; scissors; ruler; a blunt scoring tool; a small amount of paper adhesive.

Before making a batch

Check seam continuity and the top opening.

Test the actual inner packet rather than loose seeds.

Record moisture, fit or labelling problems observed during a trial.

Main panels: 65 x 75 mm.

Side join: 10 mm; lower flap: 12 mm; top closure: 20 mm.

From file to finished page

  1. Cut the net and score the side, middle, bottom and top closure folds.
  2. Fold the rear panel behind the front and join the side seam.
  3. Fold and join the lower flap. Let the wallet dry fully before placing anything inside.
  4. Put the seed sample in a separate appropriate inner packet. Insert that packet and test the opening.
  5. Write only necessary sample information on the front, then fold the top closed.
